Service Description

The Positive Faecal Occult Blood Clinic compliments the National Bowel Screening Program where patients turn 55 or 65 are invited to take part in a screening program for bowel cancer. Patients returning a positive sample are referred by their General Practitioner to the clinic where they are reviewed for a positive colonoscopy. In the event that a colonoscopy is required the patient has their procedure attended to at Bacchus Marsh & Melton Regional Hospital.

Eligibility

Patients who are 55 or 65 years of age are invited to take part in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. Referrals accepted from General Practitioners for patients with a positive faecal occult blood test

Monday (Fortnightly) 1.30pm – 4.30pm
