Service Description

The antenatal clinics (known as Maternity@Melton) offer a range of antenatal care models and choice of hospitals for birthing. Models of care available include midwifery, obstetric or shared care. Women can choose to birth at either Bacchus Marsh & Melton Regional Hospital or Sunshine Hospital. Patients who plan to birth at Bacchus Marsh & Melton Regional Hospital are seen by Bacchus Marsh midwives while women planning to birth at Sunshine Hospital are seen by Sunshine midwives. Melton Health provides the Obstetrician cover for the clinics.

Eligibility

Pregnant women birthing at Bacchus Marsh & Melton Regional Hospital or Sunshine (Western) Hospital.

Access hours

Monday to Friday 09.00am to 5.00pm

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9am to 8pm

Referral process

Referrals accepted by General Practitioners or self referral.
