Service Description

Visiting nurses are able to offer wound care, diabetic care, injections, oxygen therapy, collection of pathology specimens, catheterisation, administration of medications, monitoring of health status and some more complex personal care to clients in their own homes. Area covered is Bacchus Marsh, Melton Shire, Myrniong and surrounding areas.

Eligibility

Any person requiring a district nurse.

Access hours

8.00am – 6.00pm, 7 days a week (After hours by negotiation).

Referral process

By client’s General Practitioner , treating Hospital, or self referral

Cost to client

Dependent on self-assessment guidelines provided by the Department of Human Services.
