Service Description

Was formerly known as the Association for the Blind. A non profit organisation that has provided services for people with blindness, vision impairment and other disabilities. Services include training and support to help people who have little or no vision to overcome fear and live independently. A library of Braille and talking books, radio stations meeting the needs of people who cannot read print. Low vision clinics and nursing homes that are dedicated to caring for people with vision and hearing loss.

Eligibility

People who are elderly or vision impaired.

Access hours

Mon-Fri 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Referral process

Self-referral or health professional.

Cost to client

Nil for home visit.
