Service Description

Safety Link provides a personal response service for people who spend time alone (or with a frail partner). There are two components of the Safety Link system:

The personal pendant, which is a lightweight, water-resistant, alarm button that can be worn discreetly

The Alarm Unit, which plugs into the existing telephone system and is powered by mains electricity. It also has a battery back-up system in case of power failure.

Eligibility

People at risk, with on-going medical conditions, elderly people, disabled people and people who are isolated.

Access hours

Daily 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Referral process

Referred by Medical Officer, Nursing staff, Allied health and family.

Cost to client

$132 for installation, $27.50 per month for services.
