Service Description

Currently Djerriwarrh Health Services has a range of Specialist Surgeons with admitting rights.

The surgical ward is part of a 20 bed general ward and is staffed at all times by Registered Nurses Division 1 and 2.

Eligibility

All people requiring public hospital care under the Medicare Agreement or private patients. All patients must be admitted by a Medical Officer with admitting rights to Djerriwarrh Health Services.

Referral process

Referred by Medical Practitioner or transferred from another hospital.

Cost to client

As per Medicare Agreement for public patients or by private health insurance cover.
